CARE & MAINTENANCE
MAINTAINING YOUR
CLOUD 9 SPA
Proper spa maintenance will help you get the most out of your spa experience. Follow this regular hot tub care and maintenance schedule to guarantee that your spa is always clean and in optimal working condition.

PERFORM BEFORE EACH USE
Check the condition and chemical balance of your hot tub water using reliable test strips. If necessary, adjust the balance and run the spa for thirty minutes to allow distribution before getting in.
Check the temperature of the hot tub water. Most people are comfortable in water that is between 101 and 104 degrees. If an economy setting is used, be sure to allow enough time for the water to heat up before getting into the spa.
Check for loose drain covers and other loose or broken parts that could cause injury.
USE THE FOLLOWING CHART TO DETERMINE THE PROPER PH AND CHEMICAL LEVELS:
-
PH: 7.4 is optimal, but 7.2-7.8 is a safe range
-
Alkalinity: 120-180ppm
-
Sanitizer: 2-5ppm
-
Calcium Hardness: 125-400ppm
DAILY MAINTENANCE
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

Check the hot tub cover daily to be sure that it fits tightly and is in good repair. An ill-fitting cover can cost a fortune in lost heat and exposure so it is always best to get a new cover as soon as there is a problem.
If possible, run the filtration system of the hot tub for at least three hours each day. This will help to keep the water clean, clear and ready for use.
The water should be checked and balanced weekly whether the hot tub has been used or not. Adjust the levels according to the scale above.
Check the filter for debris and discoloration and clean as necessary.
